Volunteer Opportunities

Saturday Morning Volunteer Group:
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is fortunate to have a dedicated and committed group of volunteers who are continually improving our facility for the campers and members of our YMCA. Our Saturday Morning Volunteer Work group meets a couple of Saturdays each month from 8:00am until 12:00pm. Community Service:
We have many opportunities and projects for teens and adults to complete community service hours for school, college, church or court appointed obligations. Please contact Mark Pooler at 860-621-8194 x304 for details on completing community service hours.

Eagle Scout Program:
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is proud to collaborate with local Boy Scout Troops to complete their Eagle Scout Projects. We have a wide variety of projects for potential Eagle Scouts to choose from. Please contact Mark Pooler at 860-621-8194 x304 for details on Eagle Scout project options.

Committee & Sub Committee Volunteer Work:
The YMCA Camp Sloper Outdoor Center is governed by a group of volunteers who serve on the Outdoor Center Committee. We also have several sub-committees that focus on specific areas of our annual developments. These sub-committees include:

Building & Property Day Camp Improvement Membership and Volunteer Development
Sloper Alumni Pond Management Woodland Management
