The Southington-Cheshire Community YMCA believes that a quality care program should provide enriching experiences which facilitate a child's cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. We strive to meet the developmental needs and temperament of each individual child by working in partnership with families.

Youth Sports

At the YMCA our Youth Sports programs strive on providing children a safe and fun-filled opportunity for learning, within an environment of healthy competition. Our goal is to emphasize skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork - while incorporating the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We put the child first and the sport second, that's why hundreds of families within the Southington and Cheshire community choose the YMCA for their child's youth sports experience. Program offerings range from Parent & Me classes (for 3 year olds and a parent), to classes for youngsters up to Grade 3. Sports such as soccer, basketball, flag football and t-ball are just a few of the many programs children enjoy. We also offer specialty sports related events/tournaments for children in Grades 4 and up. As always "Everybody plays and Everybody Wins" with every YMCA Youth Sports Program offered. We strongly believe that this philosophy is what makes our programs a step above the rest!
